Triple Falls (2013)

Contact

This is a digital painting from an original photograph of Triple Falls Taken in 2013. The sound of the water rushing downhill is both loud and beautiful. It is not a shy or demure sound. It is a lion of a waterfall. The current is too strong for a mere human to withstand. This water hurries as if late to a meeting. It’s speaks forcefully. And it means what it says. The sentinel trees standing quietly aside to let the busy water rush past is a contrast of moods. This is a place of contrasts. It’s where different kinds of beauty fuse together.
Located in Transylvania county, North Carolina, the name, which many associate with Dracula or the Rocky Horror Picture Show, is actually from the latin words meaning "over the trees" or "across the woods." Triple Falls is located in Dupont State Park, near the town of Brevard, and the area is known as the land of waterfalls. There are over 250 located there. Portions of the Hungar Games were filmed there.

"But our lives aren't just measured in years. They're measured in the lives of people we touch around us." - Peeta Mellark, The Hunger Games
