This is a digital painting from an original photograph of Swan Lake taken in 2011. There’s a restful bench in the foreground. A place to sit and contemplate life in the arms of Mother Nature. It's in Clarksville, Tennessee and this area houses a prehistoric cave that runs 8 miles underground. It’s a protected a state park of 144 acres. Once upon a time, however, it was THE place for big bands. Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw, Guy Lombardo, Lena Horne, Benny Goodman, and many more set up a stage at the cave’s entrance. They drew thousands of music lovers. When the state purchased it in the 1970s, they returned the area to its natural state. This is a photo across Swan Lake. In the distance is the Bathhouse, built in 1931. The mineral springs that feeds the lake was once the height of early spa retreats. If you ever visit there, you’ll be amazed at the calming vibrations of the area.
